PUBLIC NOTICE RIGHT OF WAY REEVALUATION ROUTE 58/HOLLAND ROAD CORRIDOR IMPROVEMENTS Project #: 0058-133-005, P1201, R201 The City of Suffolk, in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), has conducted a reevaluation of the proposed right of way for the Route 58 Improvements Project. The Route 58 Improvements project utilizes Federal funding, therefore, an environmental document was prepared under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Due to design adjustments for utilities, and the need for additional relocations due to previously unrecognized project impacts, modifications were made to the proposed right of way and relocation estimates resulting in additional acquisitions and relocations, thus requiring a reevaluation of the proposed right of way under NEPA. In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, information concerning the additional potential impacts of the proposed right of way improvements to certain properties is included in the Right of Way Reevaluation document. Interested parties may view the Right of Way Reevaluation document in the Department of Public Works, located in Suffolk City Hall at 442 West Washington Street, Suite 2036, Suffolk, Virginia. Public comments regarding the completed Right of Way Reevaluation document will be received from June 29, 2018 to July 13, 2018. Please mail or deliver your written comments to Dianne Williams, Department of Public Works, 442 West Washington Street, Suite 2036, Suffolk, Virginia 23434.
